Every 5 waves survived players are given a 30-second break and a 10% sale. The other half of the earned credits this way is given to players once setup time is over. During setup time all supply buildings will generate only half of their original income as well to prevent huge benefits from the initial discount. During this phase players are given 500 Credits and a 65% discount on every shop item, except for Pack-a-Punch upgrades. The game begins with a 2-minute setup time to allow all players to connect and set up their base of operations. For what main categories there are and the recommended items they have, see Roles. For example, if a player buys the SMG, it's best in their interest to remain buying Pack-a-Punch upgrades for it, different Ranged weapons and Ranged/Passive upgrades only, so that they can afford as many of those as possible in the end-game. It is recommended that players focus on a specific category of weapons rather than mixing different weapon item types together, due to Credits being limited. In there, players can choose different weapons, as well as upgrades to their selected playstyle. The most important feature for the player to use is the shop, which can be opened via Scoreboard key (default TAB) or the commands: /shop, /store, !shop, !store. It gets confusing playing this gamemode the first time, but it's not as hard as it may seem at first. Beating Wave 60 results in a victory and an option to enter freeplay mode, where zombies can spawn entirely at random, and unlike the former gameplay, the statistics of infected spawning increase each wave. The highest wave by default is Wave 60, which concludes the whole match by sending out a Final Boss to fight you, alongside other Minor and Boss enemies you've encountered, with adjusted stats of course. Every 15 waves, there will be a Boss encounter, which will test your team's firepower and endurance. Every wave defeated rewards you with Credits, the amount of Credits you earn is pre-determined and based on the Wave you're in - the higher the wave, the more Credits you'll earn. The difficulty escalates with each wave by introducing new enemies with different properties, higher statistics as well as special abilities for some.
